Rose Castle - Father's Day Sunday Lunch - 15th June 2025

Written by Rose Castle | May 28, 2025

Celebrate Father’s Day with us on Sunday 15th June at Rose Castle, where you can savour a delectable three-course Lunch, thoughtfully crafted and cooked by our chef for this special occasion.

Wander through the gardens, partake in nostalgic games on the Bishops’ Lawn and enjoy spending time together at Rose Castle.

Lunch will be served in the State Dining Room for tables of 2 - 6 guests or 6 – 8 guests. Sittings are available from 12.30pm to 2.30pm and Rose Castle will contact you to confirm a timing of your choice. For larger families or gatherings of 10 – 12 guests, there is the option to book private dining around one large table in the Nicolson Dining Room at no additional cost, and this can be arranged directly with Rose Castle.

For children, Rose Castle can cater to the needs of each family by making children’s menus available, which we recommend for children aged 13 and under.

Prices for the 3 course menu are £55 per adult and £25 per child.

For any specific dietary or seating requirements please email hello@rosecastle.com

Enjoy a relaxed afternoon of great food, warm hospitality and time well spent with family. Make your special Father/Grandpa/Uncle/Dad/Your Leading Man a ‘King of the Castle’ for the day.

Take time to wander through the gardens at Rose Castle, discover the moat, orchard, woodlands and admire the variety and colourful roses that are beautifully in bloom.

A variety of unique, locally crafted vintage games will be available for families to enjoy on the Bishops' Lawn and inside the castle.

For further information about the children's menu options please email: hello@rosecastle.com

State Drawing Room & State Dining Room

Guests are invited to unwind and relax after their lunch in the State Drawing Room, fondly known as the "Chinese Room", where original 18th-century hand-painted Chinoiserie wallpaper adorns the walls. This exquisite space with views of the valley and Bishops' Lawn has captivated visitors for centuries—including the poet, William Wordsworth.

Stroll the Rose Castle Gardens

Stroll along the grass pathways through a vibrant tapestry of flower beds, where bursts of colour and fragrance are in abundance. Wander into the tranquil apple orchard or explore the Apothecary’s Garden with fell views. The gardens are an idyllic place for a stroll before enjoying a delightful Sunday Lunch.
