We are opening up tickets for another evening on 9th December due to popular demand.

Rose Castle at Christmas is truly unforgettable.  Decked out in stunning decor and softly lit with candles, the atmosphere is tranquil and guaranteed to get you in a festive mood!

State Drawing Room & State Dining Room

Our bar will remain open so you can enjoy the Christmas atmosphere and dwell in our State Drawing Room. Affectionately called the "Chinese Room" it features original 18th Century Chinoiserie hand-painted wallpaper and two working stone fireplaces - ideal for feeling snug in winter!

Enjoy Our Grounds

Why not take a stroll around our beautiful gardens and take in the fresh winter air? Explore the Bishop's Lawn, our walled Pettinger's Garden, with its fell views, and our Apothecary's Garden. Amble through the apple orchard, or explore the Moat Woodland, past the Old Fishpond to the Main Drive - there is lots to discover!

 


Accessibility
: There is disabled access to all ground floor and first floor areas of the castle, including the State Dining Room. Our grassed areas are not wheelchair-friendly but there are pathways around the gardens that are suitable for wheelchair users. 

Dogs: Dogs are not permitted inside Rose Castle or on the grounds, for this event.

Parking: There is plenty of free parking space available within the castle grounds. 

Bar: Our bar will be open for the purchase of wine, beer, cider, spirits, cocktails, soft drinks, teas and coffees. Please note that we can only accept card payments.  

Facilities: Toilets and baby changing facilities are located in the castle and will be available for general use
