Join Liz and Ruth from Rose Castle's friendly gardening team as they guide you step-by-step in creating a beautiful, bespoke Christmas wreath for your home. Using fragrant evergreens, seasonal berries, seedheads, and a wonderful selection of natural materials gathered from the Rose Castle gardens, you'll craft a festive wreath that's uniquely your own.
Please bring a pair of secateurs (or strong scissors) and a pair of gardening gloves. Everything else you need will be provided. If you'd like to personalise your wreath even further, you're very welcome to bring along special foliage, decorations, or other festive touches from your own garden or Christmas collection.
At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a stunning handmade wreath that will be the envy of friends and family throughout the festive season.
After a joyful morning of wreath making, settle in for a delicious seasonal lunch prepared by our Head Chef, Noel. Showcasing the very best flavours of the season, the menu features comforting festive favourites, hearty savoury dishes, and indulgent sweet treats—perfect for sharing and celebrating the magic of Christmas together.
Lunch is served in the magnificent State Drawing Room, where you'll dine surrounded by exquisite 18th-century hand-painted Chinoiserie wall coverings. With crackling log fires glowing in the historic stone fireplaces, it's a wonderfully atmospheric setting in which to relax, unwind, and savour both exceptional food and the timeless beauty of Rose Castle.
