On the far side of the woodland lies our 14th-century stew pond, adding a touch of mediaeval charm to your celebration. The venerable dovecote, erected in 1700 during Bishop Thomas Smith's tenure, stands proudly on a distinct mound, not far from the stew pond's boundary.
