Rose Castle is set in the beautiful Caldew valley with views of the Lake District fells in the distance. For couples getting married here, the carefully curated gardens and spacious lawns are all yours to enjoy.

Most castle venues offer everything you need for your big day. You can exchange your vows, enjoy your wedding breakfast, dance the night away and retire to your bridal suite, all in one place. No travelling between venues to disrupt the flow of the day. From the moment the day begins, you and your guests can relax and enjoy the celebrations. 

Many castle properties have atmospheric spaces licensed for wedding ceremonies. It may be in an onsite Chapel, great hall, or in the grounds outside. Couples getting married at Rose Castle can say ‘I do’ in the exquisite Chapel, any of the six reception rooms, or outside in the walled enclave of the Pettinger’s Garden.

4. Exclusively yours

Castles can often be booked exclusively, meaning you have the whole venue to yourselves, your own castle for you and your loved ones to celebrate with no interruptions or distractions. And because castle’s were built to protect inhabitants from intruders, they’re the perfect place to escape from the outside world. At Rose Castle, we only offer exclusive hire. The castle is yours, for as long as you like.
