But that's not all! The hugely talented Gill Wadeson will serenade you with a selection of classical tunes inspired by the hit Netflix show, Bridgerton.

State Dining Room

Your luxury Afternoon Tea will be served in our grand State Dining Room with its stunning views of our extensive grounds and backdrop of the Lake District fells. Gill will provide a relaxing classical 'Bridgerton' soundtrack to the day, and our bar will be open for alcoholic drinks and soft drinks (card payments only). Wander upstairs and marvel at our gorgeous State Drawing Room, with its plush teal couches and exquisite Chinoiserie wallpaper.

Enjoy Our Grounds

After your Afternoon Tea, why not take a stroll around our beautiful gardens and take in the fresh spring air? Explore the Bishop's Lawn, our walled Pettinger's Garden, with its fell views, and our Apothecary's Garden. Amble through the sunny orchard, home to a variety of apples, pears, damsons, greengages and plums, including Cumbria’s own Keswick Codlin apple.

Accessibility: There is disabled access to all ground floor and first floor areas of the castle, including the State Dining Room. Sadly, our grassed areas are not wheelchair-friendly but there are pathways around the gardens that are suitable for wheelchair users. 

Dogs: Dogs are not permitted inside Rose Castle or on the grounds.

Parking: There is plenty of free parking space available within the castle grounds. 

Bar: Our bar will be open for the purchase of wine, beer, cider, spirits, cocktails, soft drinks, teas and coffees. Please note that we can only accept card payments.  

Facilities: Toilets and baby changing facilities are located in the Castle and will be available for general use.
