What better way to start your celebrations than to come to our Wreath Making Workshop at Rose Castle this Christmas?
A chance to craft your own hand-made, unique, sustainable Christmas wreath in our atmospheric State Dining Room, followed by a sumptuous Festive Feast by the fire in the historic State Drawing Room, with its 19th Century meticulously hand-painted Chinoiserie wall coverings.
Christmas Wreath Making - followed by Festive Feast
Christmas Wreath Making
Liz and Ruth from Rose Castle’s friendly Gardening team will guide you all the way as you design and make a beautiful and individual Christmas wreath for your home, using evergreens, berries, seedheads and all-natural materials from the Rose Castle gardens.
You’ll need to bring a pair of secateurs/strong scissors and a pair of gloves but otherwise all the materials you need will be provided. If you would like to bring anything specific to add in from your own garden or Christmas collections, you are very welcome to. Your wreath will be the envy of friends and family.
Festive Feast
After the wreath making workshop you will retire to the State Drawing Room, with its 18th Century meticulously hand-painted Chinoiserie wall coverings. Warm fires set in both historic stone fireplaces will accompany your menu of delights to feast on in comfort and splendour.
